BIOGRAPHY
Chris Rogers is a muralist and live painter based in Austin, TX with over 15 years of professional experience spanning across visual, musical and immersive art experiences. Chris has been drawing since he was a child, but didn’t begin painting until age 18 when he attended Pomfret School in Connecticut. Rogers went on to study Studio Art at Hobart College in Geneva, NY, earning his bachelors degree in ‘06. His professional career began in 2010 in Hilton Head, SC, painting murals in restaurants and live-painting at resorts around the island with local musicians. His art would then begin to take flight in 2013 after his move Austin, TX. Since then, Rogers has collaborated with international brands such as the NFL, NBA, MLS, Adidas and featured works in coalition with ‘The New York Times’, ‘Newsweek’, ‘The Statesman’, NBC and FOX.
It was in early 2014 that Chris first began earning attention for his live-painting around Austin, TX collaborating with local music talents such as ‘Riders Against the Storm’, ‘Dirtywormz’ and illustrating the graphic novel "Hill Crest" with composer Jonathan Zemek. Rogers went on to being an official featured artist in Austin’s 40th annual ‘Pecan Street Art Festival’ and, for 3 consecutive years, “Austin City limits Festival”. By 2018, he had become an integral fixture in the music scene both locally and nationally collaborating live in concert with established Grammy-Winning artists such as Gary Clark Jr, Stephan Marley, Victor Wooten, and Big Boi of ‘Outkast’.

In addition to musical collaborations, Chris joined forces with the booming Austin comedy scene, gaining even more attention with his live-art and mural work. He’s painted live on stage with many popular comedians such as Joe Rogan, Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, Duncan Trussell. Chris is the official artist for both, ‘Serius XM’s’ nationally-syndicated comedy podcast ‘The Bonfire’, as well as globally recognized “SKANKFEST”.
Presently, Chris can be seen painting live weekly at Joe Rogan’s club, “The Mothership”. There, he live-paints on various star-studded showcases in addition to the #1 live comedy podcast in the world, ‘Kill Tony’ starring comedians Tony Hinchcliffe and Brian Redban. Additionally, Chris was commissioned by affiliates of “The Comedy Store”, in Hollywood, CA to paint a two-story mural to pay homage to the late comedian/actor, Brody Stevens.
Since 2017, Rogers has painted over 35 murals throughout the United States. In 2018, he was commissioned by ‘Sweet Home Baptist’ to paint “Northern Lights”, a 5000 sq.ft. mural aesthetically retelling the African-American journey from slavery to The White House. That same year he painted “We Rise” on East Austin’s historic intersection, E. 12th and Chicon St., which featured 65 of the most influential people of color from Austin, earning him mention in “The Austin-American-Statesman’, ‘The Chronicle’, and ‘The NY Times’. “Austin F.C.” commission Rogers to paint a mural at the brand new, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium to commemorate the soccer club’s inaugural season. In 2023, comedian, Tom Segura commissioned Chris to create a custom mural series to adorn the interior of his brand new podcast studio, ‘YMH Studios’. The 3rd and final mural at segura’s studio is set to be completed by beginning of Summer ‘24.
